Is Leading ProSocial right for me?

This course is for people with ProSocial and/or facilitation experience

Leading ProSocial is designed for people who have prior experience facilitating groups and want to train to become a ProSocial facilitator. This course will be focused on helping you broaden your repertoire as a facilitator, beyond learning basic ProSocial concepts.

It is recommended that participants complete our introductory course Becoming ProSocial prior to registering for Leading ProSocial. If you have not done that course, but have equivalent prior experience, let us know in your application form.

Personalized Learning and Mentoring

The course will be capped at 12 people per cohort so you will get individualised attention and there will be ample opportunities to get to know your peers in the course.

You will be given real opportunities to practice facilitating ProSocial modules and get personalized feedback and coaching to enhance your skills.  You will also have the chance to learn from your peers through seeing the diverse ways they approach the materials. 

Upon completing the course, you'll be eligible to join the exclusive ProSocial Action Lab (PAL) coaching program, where you can continue to refine your skills and contribute to a thriving community of practice.

Course Modules

Meet your Instructors

Robert Styles, PhD

Over the last couple of decades, Robert has helped to enhance trust and collaboration in communities, organisations, and governments across the Australian, Pacific, African, Asian, European, and American regions. Robert is based in Australia.

Robert supports ProSocial World on our custom programming offerings, co-designing programs and learning journeys with our engaged organizations and groups looking to enhance their cooperation and wellbeing.

Initially trained in music, he brings this creative capacity to working dynamically in groups. Then in a later chapter in life, he went on to become an academic doing applied research in the field of Contextual Behavioural Science through the Australian National University.
Rachel Gooen, MS, MSW, LCSW
Rachel Gooen is a seasoned facilitator with over 25 years of experience in personal growth, leadership, team dynamics, and collaboration. She holds a Master of Science (MS), a Master of Social Work (MSW), and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), equipping her with a deep understanding of individual and community change.

 Rachel is dedicated to helping mission-driven organizations develop healthy people, ecosystems, and communities.
Throughout her career, Rachel has specialized in creating meaningful outcomes by guiding individuals, organizations, and communities to achieve their goals effectively and inclusively. She is well-versed in facilitation, program development, leadership training, and community-based participatory research. With a strong foundation in ProSocial and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), she uses these principles to support positive change.
Rachel's approach combines deep engagement, clarity, and a touch of fun, believing that while change is never easy, it is achievable through thoughtful guidance and active participation. She is committed to empowering coalitions, boards, and teams to work together more effectively, leading to a more robust and sustainable future. She works throughout the United States with nonprofits, government agencies, and individuals to create lasting impact and foster better collaboration.
